This patient experienced a trauma to her mouth in her youth, resulting in a root canal on the lateral incisor. Unfortunately, years later, the root canal treatment failed; note the redness and swelling at the gumline.

The lateral incisor needed to be extracted. An implant was placed and a custom abutment fabricated to create a foundation to support the crown.

The implant-supported crown is placed, restoring function and resulting in an aesthetically pleasing smile.
